Freight Delivery & Damage Policy
Certain Grater Golf products are too large or heavy for standard parcel carriers and must ship by freight.
This may include golf simulator enclosures, complete simulator packages, large hitting mats, turf, impact screens, flooring, and other oversized products.
Freight Delivery
Freight orders may be delivered to a residential or commercial address depending on the product and carrier.
Some deliveries may require:
- A scheduled delivery appointment;
- Someone to be present to receive the shipment;
- Liftgate service;
- Access for a large freight truck;
- Assistance moving the shipment after curbside delivery; or
- Additional charges for remote or limited-access locations.
Curbside Delivery
Unless otherwise stated, freight delivery is generally curbside or to the nearest accessible delivery point.
Standard freight service normally does not include carrying products inside, unpacking, assembly, installation, or debris removal.
Inspect Before Signing
Customers should inspect all freight shipments before signing the carrier's delivery receipt.
Before accepting the shipment:
- Check the pallet, cartons, and packaging for visible damage;
- Look for punctures, tears, crushed corners, broken wrapping, or missing cartons;
- Photograph the shipment before removing packaging when damage is visible; and
- Verify the number of packages or pieces whenever possible.
If Damage Is Visible
Clearly describe any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
Do not simply write "damaged." Be specific when possible.
Examples include:
- "Box crushed on left side";
- "Pallet broken";
- "Impact screen carton punctured"; or
- "One carton missing."
Photograph the damage and retain copies of all delivery documents.
Severe Damage
If a shipment has severe visible damage that appears likely to have damaged the product, the customer should refuse delivery when appropriate and contact Grater Golf immediately.
Concealed Damage
Some freight damage may not be visible until the packaging is opened.
If concealed damage is discovered:
- Stop installation or assembly;
- Keep all packaging materials;
- Photograph the packaging and damaged product;
- Photograph shipping labels and identification labels; and
- Contact Grater Golf promptly.
Do Not Discard Packaging
Keep all original cartons, pallets, wrapping, protective foam, straps, and other shipping materials until any freight claim has been resolved.
Failure to Document Damage
Failure to note visible damage at delivery may limit Grater Golf's or the manufacturer's ability to recover damages from the freight carrier.
Delivery Appointments
Freight carriers may contact the customer directly to schedule delivery.
Customers are responsible for responding to carrier communications and being available during the scheduled delivery window.
Carrier fees resulting from missed appointments, refused shipments, storage, redelivery, or incorrect delivery information may be charged to the customer.
