Golf simulator systems combine multiple products that must work together within a specific room. Proper planning is important before ordering, installing, mounting, modifying, or activating simulator equipment.

Room Dimensions

Customers should confirm all room measurements before ordering simulator equipment.

Important measurements may include:

• Room width;
• Room length;
• Ceiling height;
• Hitting position;
• Golfer clearance;
• Screen location;
• Projector location;
• Launch-monitor mounting position;
• Door and window locations; and
• Other fixed room features.

Launch Monitor Compatibility

Launch monitors may have specific requirements for:

• Ceiling height;
• Distance from the ball;
• Distance from the impact screen;
• Lighting;
• Hitting-zone dimensions;
• Mounting location;
• Computer hardware;
• Operating system;
• Network connectivity; and
• Simulator software.

Projector Compatibility

Projector selection depends on screen dimensions, aspect ratio, throw ratio, mounting position, image size, room depth, resolution, and brightness.

Customers should verify projector throw calculations before permanently mounting the projector or ordering custom screen dimensions.

Impact Screens and Enclosures

Enclosure and impact-screen sizing must allow adequate clearance for the golfer, launch monitor, projector, screen movement, and surrounding room.

Actual finished dimensions may vary depending on frame design, screen tension, attachment method, padding, and manufacturer specifications.

Gaming Computer Requirements

Simulator software may have minimum and recommended computer requirements.

Customers should verify CPU, graphics card, memory, operating system, storage, display outputs, networking, and software requirements before purchasing or configuring a simulator computer.

Third-Party Software

Launch monitors may work with third-party software such as GSPro, E6, or other simulator platforms.

Third-party software providers control their own pricing, subscription requirements, features, licensing, system requirements, and compatibility.

Software compatibility may change independently of Grater Golf.

Grater Golf may help customers review room dimensions, launch-monitor placement, enclosure size, hitting location, projector throw distance, screen aspect ratio, computer requirements, and supporting equipment.

Recommendations are based on the measurements, equipment information, photographs, plans, and other information provided by the customer.

Customer-Supplied Measurements

Customers are responsible for the accuracy of measurements and information they provide.

Before ordering custom-sized or permanently installed products, customers should independently verify final field measurements.

Installation

Products should be installed according to the applicable manufacturer's instructions.

Ceiling-mounted launch monitors, projectors, enclosures, structural components, electrical products, speakers, televisions, and other mounted equipment must be securely installed.

Professional installation should be used whenever required by product complexity, manufacturer instructions, local building requirements, or customer circumstances.

Electrical and Structural Work

Grater Golf does not recommend performing electrical, structural, or other licensed trade work unless the person performing the work is properly qualified.

Customers should use appropriately licensed professionals when required.

Before Permanent Installation

Customers should test equipment and confirm compatibility before permanently mounting, cutting, modifying, or disposing of packaging whenever practical.

Installed or modified products may not qualify for a standard return.
