Young players—not simply shorter clubs
A well-built junior set should account for the golfer’s hand size, strength, measured speed and posture. KBS lists this family for younger players with lower swing speeds and provides fitting guidance of 50 mph or less, then fit to hand size.

Weight and length should grow with the golfer
Junior equipment should make solid contact easier—not force the player to adapt to a shaft that is too long, heavy or stiff. The 40g and 50g options give a fitter two starting points for matching the build to the golfer.

Two lightweight fitting options
KBS specifies both options for lower-speed younger players and directs fitters to consider hand size. The 50g model uses an additional 1/2-inch of tip trim at every listed club compared with the 40g model.

KBS frequency designation 1.5. The lightest option and the starting point for the smallest or least powerful players when confirmed through fitting.
GENERATION 50
KBS frequency designation 2.5. Adds shaft weight and uses a firmer standard trimming progression for players who need that step.

KBS publishes 36-inch and 38-inch raw lengths across the two models. Confirm the exact stocked raw length for the selected weight before planning a build.
Weight-specific .370 tip trimming
Remove the listed amount from the tip end for the intended club, install the shaft, then butt trim to the player’s final fitted length. Measurements below reproduce KBS’s current GENERATION graphite-iron chart.

One blank for each club being built
This is a single-length parallel-tip shaft sold individually. Order one shaft per iron, then trim each blank using the correct weight and target-club row.
Example: a 4–PW set uses seven shafts.
These are not discrete .355 taper shafts. Every .370 blank must be tip trimmed for its intended club and butt trimmed to the player’s fitted length. Confirm hosel diameter and available parallel-tip insertion depth before cutting.

Is this an adult graphite iron shaft?
GENERATION is specifically designed for younger players with lower swing speeds. It should be selected through an age-appropriate fitting rather than treated as a lightweight adult shaft by default.
Is this listing .370 parallel tip?
Yes. This product is the .370-inch parallel-tip version. It requires club-specific tip trimming and final butt trimming during assembly.
Which weights does KBS currently offer?
KBS’s current GENERATION graphite-iron page lists 40g and 50g. Those weights use different frequency designations and different standard tip-trimming rows.
Should I choose solely by the golfer’s age?
No. Height, hand size, strength, measured speed, posture and athletic development can vary widely among golfers of the same age. Fit the player rather than relying on age alone.
Are the shafts sold individually?
Yes. One shaft is needed for every club being assembled. For example, a 4–PW set requires seven shafts.
Can I use the same trimming instructions for both weights?
No. The 50g model uses 1/2 inch more tip trim than the 40g model at each club position in the current KBS chart. Confirm the shaft weight before cutting.
Can I use this in a .355 taper hosel?
Not as a direct fit. This listing is intended for .370 parallel hosels. Any nonstandard installation solution should be evaluated and completed by a qualified club builder.
