How the Combination-Flex System Works
The purchase option identifies the shaft blank; professional trimming determines its final playing specification.
Confirm the Build
Identify the target club, desired flex, finished playing length, head weight, hosel depth and swing-weight goal.
Tip Trim First
Use the current KBS instructions for the 111g MAX 80 blank. Tip cutting establishes the intended club and flex.
Butt Trim and Assemble
After tip preparation, butt trim to finished length and complete the build with the correct head, ferrule and grip.
Do not install this shaft untrimmed or use an older chart without
confirming the blank. Tip trimming changes both flex and club
progression. Because published legacy MAX Steel charts can reference a
different uncut weight, have Grater Golf or a qualified KBS builder confirm
the current instructions before cutting the 111g shaft sold here.
