Two golfers with the same clubhead speed can need different weights or
flexes because of tempo, transition force, release pattern, playing length

Consider these when lower shaft mass, easier speed or a lighter overall driver build is the priority. The TGBlack profile remains low launch and low spin.
60g
A middle-weight starting point for players looking to balance speed, feel and stability in a driver or fairway-wood build.
70g–80g
Consider these when added shaft mass, a more substantial feel or extra stability is preferred—often including fairway-wood applications.

KBS Lists TGBlack as “No Tipping Required”
The current KBS parallel-tip trimming sheet specifies no tip trimming for TGBlack. Final playing length should be established by butt trimming after the correct head or adapter, insertion depth, grip and swing-weight target have been considered.
Cutting a graphite shaft is permanent. Professional preparation and installation are recommended to protect the shaft and produce the intended finished length, alignment and build specifications.
Compatibility
Confirm the head, adapter and finished club specifications before installation.
TGBlack uses a .335-inch parallel wood tip and is intended
for compatible driver and fairway-wood heads or adapters. It is not a
direct fit for .350-inch wood hosels, hybrid heads or iron heads. Adapter
requirements vary by brand and model, and an adapter is not included unless
the selected product option specifically says otherwise.

Who is the KBS TGBlack designed for?
TGBlack is designed primarily for accomplished and stronger players seeking control, stability, a penetrating flight and low spin. A fitting is the best way to confirm whether its profile matches your delivery and launch needs.
Is TGBlack for drivers or fairway woods?
Both. It is a .335-inch driver/fairway-wood shaft. The finished build must use a compatible head or adapter and be trimmed to the correct playing length.
Does every weight come in Tour X and Tour XX?
No. The 40g version is available in Regular, Stiff and X-Stiff. Tour X and Tour XX are available in the 50g, 60g, 70g and 80g models.
What is the difference between X, TX and TXX?
They are progressively firmer KBS flex designations within the TGBlack family. Select by the complete delivery pattern and desired feel—not clubhead speed alone.
Does TGBlack require tip trimming?
KBS’s current parallel-tip trimming sheet lists TGBlack as “no tipping required.” Butt trimming is still needed to create the desired finished club length. Have a qualified builder confirm the build before cutting.
Will this shaft fit my driver adapter?
It fits adapters designed for a .335-inch wood shaft, but adapters differ by manufacturer and club model. Confirm the exact adapter and insertion requirements before ordering or installation.
What is included?
This listing is for one uncut KBS TGBlack graphite shaft. A clubhead, grip, adapter, ferrule, trimming and installation are not included unless specifically shown in the selected option.
