How is it built?
Ben Hogan builds each club to order with the shaft, grip and playing length you choose in the Build Options above. Pick a flex to see the shafts available in it and a grip size to see the grips. Many choices are no-charge; premium shafts and grips add their upgrade charge to your cart automatically. Please allow 7 to 10 days for the build before it ships.
Which shafts and grips can I choose?
No-charge shafts include Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue, UST Helium, UST DHI dRVR and Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX and Gen 4 Black (by flex). UST Helium NCT is +$20 in Regular and Stiff, Project X Denali Blue +$50, and Graphite Design Tour AD DI +$379. Grips start with the Lamkin Ben Hogan Z5 and Golf Pride Tour Velvet at no charge, with Lamkin, SuperStroke, Winn and Golf Pride CP2, Z-Grip Cord and MCC Plus4 upgrades from +$5 to +$12.99.
How does the adjustable hosel work?
The PTx sleeve lets you adjust loft and lie with a standard driver wrench (not included). Standard lie at the neutral setting is 57°. The PTx sleeve is not backwards compatible with earlier Ben Hogan models such as the GS53 or GS53 Max.
Which flex should I choose?
As a guide for driver swing speed: Senior / Ladies under about 75 mph, Regular about 75 to 95 mph, Stiff 95 to 105 mph and Extra Stiff above 105 mph. Between two flexes, smoother tempos usually suit the softer one.
