Does Approach R10 have its own display?
No. It pairs with a compatible smartphone running the Garmin Golf app; the included phone mount attaches to a golf bag.
How much indoor space does the radar need?
Garmin’s setup guidance calls for the R10 to sit about 6–8 ft behind the ball and for the ball to travel at least 8 ft toward the net or screen.
Are all metrics directly measured?
No. Radar directly observes certain motion data while Garmin’s ball-flight model derives other displayed metrics. Setup, environment, and available ball flight can affect results.
Does virtual course play require a subscription?
Home Tee Hero requires an active Garmin Golf membership. E6 CONNECT, Awesome Golf, and other services have separate licenses or subscriptions.
Can it be used outside?
Yes. R10 is designed for outdoor range and backyard practice as well as properly configured indoor use.
