Product questions

Frequently asked questions

How is it built?
MacGregor builds each club to order with the shaft, grip and length you choose in the Build Options above. Pick a flex to see the shafts available in it and a grip size to see the grips. No-charge choices are listed first; premium shafts and grips add their upgrade charge to your cart automatically. Please allow 7 to 10 days for the build before it ships.
How are upgrade charges calculated on a set?
MacGregor prices shaft and grip upgrades per club, so a +$10 shaft on a 7-club set adds $70. Lie and loft adjustments are a single charge for the whole set. The Build Options total shows the exact amount before you add to cart.
What does the length adjustment mean?
Length adjustments are relative to MacGregor standard lengths (7 iron 37"). Most golfers between about 5'9" and 6'1" play standard; go shorter or longer in half-inch steps if you have been fitted or are outside that range.
Which flex should I choose?
As a guide by 6-iron carry: Senior / Ladies under about 130 yards, Regular about 130 to 160, Stiff 160 to 180 and Extra Stiff beyond that. If you are between two, smoother tempos usually suit the softer flex.
Can the loft and lie be adjusted?
Yes. The forged heads can be bent up to 2Β° in loft and lie. Each adjustment is a single $25 charge for the whole set, added automatically when you choose it in the Build Options.
